Elementary Curriculum Revision Schedule

Curriculum revision is an on-going process. The demands of society are such that a school curriculum is never complete or finished. Changes in our ways of thinking, new technologies, societal needs, and the nature of the learner all contribute to the ongoing need to create, review and revise curricula used in the elementary schools of the Diocese. In order to keep our curriculum current and up-to-date, it is necessary to review and revise the curriculum on an annual basis. The Diocesan curriculum reflects the Ohio Academic Content Standards, content area National Standards, and the Common Core State Standards. The following chart outlines the projected timeline for Elementary Curriculum Development in the Diocese of Cleveland. This timeline is adjusted on an annual basis.

Beginning with the Parent Guides developed for the Religion Curriculum, all future parent guides will be developed using a similar format and will be published when a curriculum is revised and presented to the schools.
